First Aid courses available now

MA Ventures is proud to offer a range of Industry Accredited First Aid courses.

Our fully qualified trainers will ensure all first aid candidates are prepared to deal with an emergency should one arise.

Delivered in a classroom setting with a practical and written assessment, we are completely flexible with the location of the courses; we can come to a location of your choice or can organise a venue on your behalf.

Courses are approved by Nuco and certification is a Nuco Award Certificate.

The minimum participation is six people with no more than 12 individuals on a course.

We plan to run both one-day and 3-day courses each month.

This course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.

First Aid at Work SCQF Level 6

Course Duration: 3 Days

This course is for people who want to receive thorough first aid training and is especially suited for nominated workplace first aiders looking to gain a comprehensive and effective skill set for medium/high risk work environments.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Use of AED Award SCQF - Level 5

Paediatric First Aid Award SCQF Level 6

Course Duration: 2-days

This course is suitable for people who care for babies and children in any professional setting including Nannies, Child minders, Nursery Workers and Au Pairs.

Forestry First Aid (+ F) - FAA Level 3 Award

Course Duration: 2-3 Hours
Open Course Price: £50 + vat per person (can only be taken as an add-on to any first aid course.

Additional training in the following subjects:

Crush Injuries, Hypothermia/Exposure, Lyme Disease and Catastrophic Bleeding using Tourniquets, Haemostats and Compression Bandages (including Chain Saw Injuries and Gun Shot Wounds) and Casualty Evacuation Planning

Catastrophic Bleeding Control

Course Duration: Half Day

This ½ Day is an excellent workshop to equip learners in how to deal with Catastrophic Bleeding.

It will advise on the inherent dangers associated with the use of Tourniquets and Haemostatic Dressings, whilst administering first aid in a high risk environment for the purpose of saving life.

It has been developed to meet the requirements of industries that consider themselves to be at high risk following a suitable and sufficient risk assessment.

FAA Level 1 Award (Level 4 in Scotland) in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health

Course Duration: Half Day

This ½-Day course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help

FAA Level 2 (Level 5 in Scotland) Award in First Aid for Mental Health

Course Duration: 1 Day

This 1 Day course covers the content of the Level 1 course (A ½-Day course aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help) but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.

FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Youth Mental Health (RQF)

Course Duration: 1 Day

The 1 Day FAA Award in First Aid for Youth Mental Health qualification is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders and young adults.

The qualification has been designed with children and young people in mind covering areas such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying and will provide the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental health condition, start a conversation, and provide support and guidance to professional help.

FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF)

Course Duration: 2 Days

This 2-Day course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications but is aimed at Trainer/Assessors and/or supervisor level within the workplace.
